I heard a nice variant for ´Not tonight honey, I have a headache´ as ´Not tonight honey, I have a sore throat, I´m so thirsty....´ lol

 So what would you do, you bed Amerkican if your hubby left you thirsty...{#lang_emotions_unsure}{#lang_emotions_bigsmile}

 I would probably take his credit card and check into a nice hotel in the city.  Have some wonderful meals and then go shopping.  I guess some of our Turkish sisters don´t have this option.  Its a true pity!

 For it, he should first have a credit card and then a good limit.

This poor american had no idea that a credit card has nothing to do with the area where women carry water. Shaking my head at american ignorance.

 Somebody asked what I would do....that is what I would do.  I believe in passive resistance.  If the water won´t come to me...I will go to the water.  Shaking my head at the latest "train" family member.{#lang_emotions_ninja}  Sounds a bit familiar if you ask me!!{#lang_emotions_razz}

 İ guess village bakkal would do the job!

They can buy the water mineral water ´bottels´ as many as they can get,and put it on their husbands credit there.

They buy dry food,or whatever thing that they can make/cook without using much water,and also put on their husbands´ credit.

So actually husbands will pay for that water,and also they dont make tea/coffee ..any drinks for same reason

And ofcourse STOP bringing the water from miles away ´its men´s job´ if needed

And kicking them out of bedroom is very much logic too.

Water is limited !

This plot was also used in a very old turkish movie but there was a female who was orginizing and teaching the women in the village that came from a city

 Actually this is a very very old story written in 411 BC by Aristophanes. It is called Lysistrata.

"Led by the title character, Lysistrata, the story´s female characters barricade the public funds building and withhold sex from their husbands to end the Peloponnesian War and secure peace. In doing so, Lysistrata engages the support of women from Sparta, Boeotia, and Corinth. All of the other women are first against Lysistrata´s suggestion to withhold sex. Finally, they agree to swearing an oath of allegiance by drinking wine from a phallic shaped flask, as the traditional implement (an upturned shield) would have been a symbol of actions opposed to the aims of the women. This action is ironic and therefore comical, because Greek men believed women had no self-restraint, a lack displayed in their alleged fondness for wine as well as for sex."
