Turkey, coming out of a dry summer, is expecting rain this fall. According to the State Meteorological Affairs General Directorate, northern Turkey will receive above average levels of rainfall in October and November, while the southern and central parts of the country expect no less than the seasonal average.
The general directorate on Saturday released its Seasonal Estimates Report, covering the second half of September and the months of October and November. According to the report, temperatures are expected to start dropping starting in the second half of September, particularly in the northern regions, and fall to seasonal averages. In the south, the temperatures are also expected to drop in the second half of this month but stay 0.5-1 degrees Celsius above the seasonal average. October and November are expected to see temperatures at seasonal averages.
