Hotels in Cappadocia

Can anyone recommend a hotel in Cappadocia please?  I´ll be staying for 2 or 3 nights and don´t want anything too expensive. As long as it´s in a traditional building, clean, friendly and safe, I´ll be happy.

While I´m at it, any suggestions for a few nights in Konya?  Cheap, cheerful , clean and friendly?

I never got to these places in the summer as it was too hot to travel very far, so I´m doing it in the spring.

I want to reserve via the internet so if anyone has links too,  that would be great.

Thanks in advance.

Several hostels in Göreme, with dorms and with private rooms en suite. See: www.hostels.com www.hostelbookers.com and others.

I stayed in Emre Cave House in May 2006 and I loved it. Then I payed 20 YTL for a private room including a very good breakfast. They have a swimming pool, free internet, when there are enough guests they´ll organise a BBQ and Süleyman, the owner, is a great guide with many knowledge. He organises trips for nice prices and is not so strict in times, a trip I took should last until 17.30 but we weren´t back until 19.00. Below is their postal address, I couldn´t find - but I didn´t search very long - an e-mail address or telephone number, though there are many sites you can use to book them.

Thanks Trudy, I´ll have a search on the internet for the hotel. Failing that I´m sure my friends in Turkey will call them for me.

I´m not sure I fancy the idea of a dorm in a hostel and  the hotel you suggest seems even cheaper than I expected , so it sounds  perfectly suitable.

Thanks again.

Emre Cave House is also a hostel, not a hotel! It´s not as posh as some hotels are but it was clean, my room was large and the staff very friendly.

I realised that it was a hostel after I made my post and have only just come back to the forum.  It´s dorms in a hostel that don´t appeal to me not a hostel itself and the one you mentioned has private rooms.  I´m not looking for posh either, as I said before.

Thanks for the information
