On this site (TLC) it is a nickname used for men (old or young) who take advantage of women/girls.

The ´dudus´ normally start relationships with their victims while they are on holidays in Turkey. They promise everything, including their love, then ask for money, and also mobile phones and computers to "help stay in contact". Most women seem to be overwhelmed with the attention they are given by the ´dudu´ and are eventually heartbroken and devastated when the relationship fails.

By reading some of the translation requests from unhappy TLC female members you will get a clue how the dudus ´work´.

Traditionally ´dudu´ was a old title for women, and also used for parrot.

Nice answer Henry - but can´t say I have ever seen an ´old´ dudu!  Well ´old´ would be about 30 here I suppose - so maybe!  We started using ´dudu´ because some girl misspelled the title of her thread which was supposed to be ´I´m in love with a Turkish DUDE´!  lol

Since at least October 1st 2006, admin will probably give you an exact date. Trudy also may know, as one of the most active TLC users.

Quite a bit earlier....since at least September 2004 - some forum posts go back to that time.
