Sounds like he was just expressing his feelings to you. I wouldn't read into anything else. I don't believe it has anything to do with ambition, love for his country etc...Actually, I think it's romantic. Be grateful you have a boyfriend who expresses him self that way. Alot of men don't know how.

I'm sorry, but who are the 'he' and 'you' in your post?

Yusuf was asking whether other members think that 'i can;t live without you'-love is good or maybe a bit too much as there are other ambitions in life too.

Quoting yusuf :

a boy having girl frind, i know love is great thing but what i would like to ask about, is that a bad thing that u make all your life for just agirl
for example u say to her u r my life , without u i will die, iwant to ask.. is that a very low ambition all u live for is just agirl..... where is your love to your contry where is your love to your work where, where, where where is the high ambition
does any one agree with me...

Yusuf, my own view is that you are born alone and you die alone. I believe it is your obligation in life to make the most of your life, to care for the world and your fellow humans, to achieve everything you can possibly achieve without complaining about what talents and resources you have, to nuture your relationships and live every day as if it is your last. If you find someone to love and who loves you then it is part of life's obligation to look after them as they should look after you. If you live your life for just one person, then you are not making the most of your life and when you die can you say to yourself, "I did everything I could to make the most of this life of mine"? I believe that love comes and goes in our life but it is only one small part of our lives. Take care of the loves that come and go but dont make it your only reason for living because that is wasting your precious gift.

Be careful ladies....Yusuf is just sounding you out !

He knows that the girls are much smarter now and the good days when all girls believed in fairy tales are over.

Where are the lovely girls of my days - who would not mind kissing a hundred frogs out of their good hearts, in the vain hope that one will turn out to be a bewitched prince?

Alas ! What is our world coming to?

Off Alpha I think that you have not been reading enough posts these days. Kissing frogs is exactly what girls do these days to find their handsome prince, by the thousand not the hundreds! They are still there Alpha and their good hearts are much more accommodating than giving kisses. You had better come out from behind your lily pad and see what the world is offering these days

Quoting Deli_kizin:

I can live without Kadir. I will keep breathing, I might even smile some days. Yes I am able to live without him. But what is life worth if I cannot share it with him and feel a peaceful, passionate happiness?

Love is not everything. But everything is nothing without love.

And therefore I don't feel afraid to say I can't live without Kadir. This sentence just doesn't fit a discussion of love. It is about the definition of 'living'.

This is expressed so simply and yet so beautifully. It appears to make such clear sense! Thank you
