I ate breakfast - Kahvaltýyým yedi
I combed my hair - sacým taradýyým
I cleaned my teeth - Diþlerim temizlediyim

I woke up - Uyandýyým
Uyandým
verb stem is uyan
past tense first person suffix is -dim
with vowel harmony it makes: uyan+dim= uyandým
I dressed - giydirdiyim
Giydirmak is to dress somebody
To dress yourself is giyinmek: giyin (verb stem) + -dim =
Giyindim
I ate breakfast - Kahvaltýyým yedi
Kahvaltý yedim/ettim.
I combed my hair - sacým taradýyým
Saçlarýmý taradým.
saçlar (you combed more than 1 hair) + -im (my) + -i (direct object suffix)
I cleaned my teeth - Diþlerim temizlediyim
Diþlerimi temizledim/fýrçaladým (brushed)
I opened the big door - Büyük kapý açýkdým
Büyük kapýyý (-(y)i for direct object) açtým
açmak - to open
after ç if suffix begins with -d you change it to -t
I put my shoes on - Kunduralarim giydeyim
Ayakkabýmý giydim

The order of suffixes generally goes like this for nouns:
araba
noun - araba
noun + plural - arabalar
noun + (plural) + posessive - araba(lar)ým
other suffixes after that
for verbs:
bakmak (bak-mak)
remove the stem first - bak
add tense marker - iyor, -d, -ir/ar/r, -ecek/aceketc. depending on the tense - bak-ýyor
add personal ending - bak-ýyor-um - bakýyorum

wow thankyou, that makes it so easy to understand now, i just need to remember and practise
by the way is this right? or on the right lines?.. when i add a personal pronoun, like -im, or a possesive pronoun, like -in, to a word ending in a vowel do i just drop the vowel? and for other suffixs begining with a vowel do i either add ´y´, ´n´ or ´s´?

For possessive pronouns:
my - the suffix is -im for words ending in a consonant:
bardað-ým, telefon-um, adres-im
or -m (your drop the vowel when you add it to word ending with a vowel):
araba-m, kedi-m, baba-m, anne-m, çanta-m
your - -in for words ending in a consonant:
bardaðýn, telefon-un, adres-in
or -n for words ending in a vowel:
araba-n, kedi-n, baba-n, anne-n, çanta-n
her/his - -i for words ending in a consonant
bardaðý, telefonu, adresi
or -si for words ending in a vowel (you add the buffer letter "s" )
araba-sý, kedi-si, anne-si, baba-sý, çanta-sý
our - -imiz for words ending in a consonant:
bardað-ýmýz, telefon-umuz, adres-imiz
or -miz for words ending in a vowel
araba-mýz, kedi-miz, baba-mýz, anne-miz, çanta-mýz
your (plural) - iniz for words ending in a consonant
bardað-ýnýz, telefon-unuz, adres-iniz
or -niz for words ending with a vowel
araba-nýz, kedi-niz, anne-niz, baba-nýz, çanta-nýz
their - leri - same for both words ending with vowel and consonant
araba-larý, telefonlarý, adresleri, anneleri, etc.
When you add a personal ending to a verb or to express "to be" with a noun:
-im, -sin, -(no ending for he/she), -iz, -siniz, -lar
you always add the buffer letter
anne-yim - i am a mother
anne-sin
anne
anne-yiz - we are a mother (better anneleriz I think)
annesiniz
anneler
It can be a bit confusing at first, so I hope this helps a bit.
