I know what an eclipse is - I am saying that I have never heard the Turkish word gökb - can a ´b´ follow a ´k´ in Turkish?  I wondered if you had mistyped it.

Because there is no word as ´gökb´. Eclipse means tutulma. We say güneş tutulması for solar eclipse, and ay tutulması for lunar eclipse.

Thanks for the confirmation Faruk - I knew there couldn´t be such a word and I just wondered what word he/she was thinking of
