However, again, I do not celebrate the new year. I see no reason to celebrate it.

To my dear sister/friend Lemon;

I agree with you.Completely true.

The 31st of December:

World People celebrate Christmas.But we as Muslim don’t celebrate the new year.Because we have no Christmass Culture in Islam.And it is not also a Christian celebration. Many people see no reason to celebrate it.As you said this Christmas culture was added to the Christendom in the 4th century from the Pagan Practices like many many other things later on.Nonetheless In my opinion it is a traditional and commercial practice for the world countries and the New Year is really an important period for humanity.

Isn´t the Islamic new year called Hirji and doesn´t it mark the begining of the begining of the Islamic new year?    I was told that the first day of the year was observed on the first day of Muharram which is the first month in the Islamc calendar.
