Yoksa her önüne gelenin yapacağı iş değildi. İşte bu nedenle iki değerli kişi ölçülürken bilgisi yeteneği zekası daha az olan için bu deyim kullanılır.

Quoting suzan ahmet

what does that mean?

The title "Eline Su Dökememek" Deyimi, means in English ´Can´t hold a candle to´ idiom.

In English this idiom means someone is not equal to someone else or can´t measure up to their standards.  The cartoon must illustrate this and the text explain it.

I´d love to try and translate the whole think but its nearly 1 am here and I´m too tired to concentrate!  Maybe I´ll try it tomorrow and then compare it with whoever has done it to see if I understand it

The idiom "Eline Su Dökememek"

An idiom used to express that one is more capable than another.

In the old days, while a master craftsman or a teacher were performing the ritual washing for the muslim prayers, their apprectices or students would assist them by pour water into their hands from a jug.

So in order to be able to pour water from a jug onto the hands of such an important person, you had to be close to them, and have a place near them. It wasn´t a task than anyone just passing by could do. So this is why, when measuring two people, this idiom is used for the one who is less knowledgable, smart or talented.
