Ok I know this is a random question but can someone just confirm for me the correct verbs for different stages of dislike..

i.e - 1. to dislike - sevmemek

        2. to Hate - nefret etmek

       3. to Detest  etc etc

I wanted to say ´I detest it´, which has a stronger and slight different meaning than ´I hate it´, but the dictionary gave nefret etmek for this.

How about

iğrenmek
/dan/ to feel disgust (at), be disgusted (with); to loathe.

Ahh that could work, Thanks Sonunda  I loathe it is pretty close.

Can I rack your brain for something else as well   I wondered in your view how harsh you thought nefret etmek was. I always used it for dislike, or to hate something but the dictionary makes it seem very strong, in line with abhor. detest. hate. loathe. Maybe I have said a few things I should not have over my time lol

hehe-I´m not sure how strong it is. A Turkish speaker could probably give a better idea.

(don´t think I´d want to be the object of your loathing though-scaaaary!)
