why would anyone be embarrassed from having too many posts?

The phrase you highlighted in my post,  was my interpretation of Si´s comment:

"Maybe she didn´t like the fact that her name was at the top of most active users table, which gives you a clue that how much time she has spent here. Something we remember from aenigma. She would always come up with a new nickname after topping that table in a very short period of time."

It wasn´t meant to be my own opinion.  Sorry if I caused confusion.

I think the total of Trudy´s posts is from the time she first joined TLC (I may be wrong), whereas aenigma racked up a huge number of posts each time she reappeared.  But whatever the reason, it doesn´t really matter how much time people spend here.  There are worse ways of passing time.

Thank you for the explanation. But I did´t think that it was confusing

I was really asking why would anyone be embarrassed for spending time on this site?

I don´t think that spending time here means that "you" don´t have better things to do, but rather that you are benefitting from this site in learning, practicing the language and understanding more about the Turkish culture, by reading and participating in the forms. This is my opinion.

I agree with your opinion.  I use this site to learn about the language and I´ve commented here before that I´ve enjoyed learning about Turkey´s culture and history.

Like you, I also don´t understand why people would be embarrassed. I commented:

"I don´t think she had gone because she´s embarrassed about having too many posts.  She´s given a great deal of her time to the site over a number of years, so the posts are bound to mount up."

Si, on the other hand, seemed (to me) to be implying that embarrassment (my interpretation of his words) might be the case for Trudy´s departure.

I don´t think that spending time here means that "you" don´t have better things to do, That may not be true for Trudy but some guys here give me that impression, that´s why I made such a comment, it´s just my impression. but rather that you are benefitting from this site in learning, practicing the language and understanding more about the Turkish culture, by reading and participating in the forms. Yes but some guys here keeps feeding the same kind of content everytime and I don´t think they are hanging here learning or practising language rather they are using this site to publish their usual stuff with which many members here are fed up more than enough. This is my opinion.

This I can´t agree more with you. You are right, but, not all comments or phrases are mandatory to read, and TC members can select from the variety of forums and topics written.

...and the problem is there are "provocateurs"

they,

1) are very successful at turning every conversation into political discussions.

2) never hesitate of talking about sensitive subjects that other members of this room might be hurt, they really like doing that.

3) declare you ´intolerant, ignorant, arrogant, anti-democratic´ when you object them NOT to talk about this sensitive issues or don´t agree with them. (as if they have more knowledge than others!!!!)

4) are very free; warned by no one and protected by some "libertarian (!)(!)(!) mentalities".

5) always drop you innuendos once they designated you as a "target".

thx

And a little note apart from this discussion:

thehandsom said that Türkiye Şehirleri was the most boring thread that he has ever seen in his life...

yes, you are right. coz it doesnt appeal to you.

because it doesnt contain any political discussions and reason for you to fight with people

Sorry - i´m just trying to help people about the cities of Turkey... At least talking "realities!"

I haven´t joined in the game yet, but I have followed it along with a map of Turkey.  It is informative, from a geographical perspective, for non Turkish members.

As I said in another thread, "one man´s meat is another man´s poison".

Hmmm . . . I have an idea (off I go to produce more "poison" {#emotions_dlg.bigsmile} )
