Salma Hayek

While some people reach for fresh veggies or fruit when they want a snack, Salma Hayek prefers a slightly different menu: insects and worms.

“These little ants fried are amazing with guacamole,” Hayek said on The Late Show with David Letterman. “And the worms, there are many different recipes for those. The little grasshoppers have a smoky flavor to them.”

I have been told grasshoppers are Kosher

You may eat the following: locusts of every variety; all varieties of bald locust; crickets of every variety; and all varieties of grasshopper, but all other winged swarming things that have four legs shall be an abomination for you.

I wonder if Obama ate them when he visited his family....actually if you think about it. Crabs, crawfish, shrimp are sort of insect like. Aren´t they in the same family of animals?
