Quoting kiddomeci

I will return to Turkey soon, and this time I am thinking about getting a prepaid phone.  Just wondering does Turkcell have a very cheap option where there´s no call waiting, forwarding etc. just enough to call friends locally? Or if you have an idea on the cheapest option and what it includes it would be helpful.  I don´t want to go to a payphone this time.  Thanks in advance!

my experience with Turkcell-friendly one would make a book.Once i bought a card.prepaid one..after 6 month arrived to Turkey happy to get i touch with all my friends..well,just not for a birdy!!! Turkcell office talks-show us the contract..i did.. well..your phone will work in 3 weeks time..damn..what if birdy stayed 2???

I think AVEA has cheaper options. I also came to Turkey for 2 months now and my previous prepaid was cancelled so I checked the options.

From AVEA you can get a prepaid phone for 25 lira, but it will have 5 lira credits in it only.

There are different options depending on who you would like to call or if you want to send sms for cheap. I took one called "her yöne" and in this one for example if you load 20 lira, you can call all phones in Turkey for 150 min.

Hope it helps

Thanks everyone...Turkcell doesn´t seem to be the right option I suppose.
