Have some friends read her novels?

What do you think about her best known novel "Persuasion"?

Austen is one of my favourite authors.  She was a woman ahead of her time with her satire and commentary on the social structures of society and the condition of women.  As foka pointed out Persuasion is a prime example of that.

My favorite quote from her novel Pride and Prejudice, "It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of a good fortune, must be in want of a wife." What a wit that woman possessed.  {#emotions_dlg.lol_fast}
