Hi everyone,

I am going to stay with my fiances parents for a week and would like to know some phrases which might help me get on their good side things like could I help you with dinner? or could I help you clear up etc.

Thanks in advance!

daha fazla yiyemem! Doydum     I can´t eat anymore, I"m full

they will not expect you to do any chores as you will be there guest.

ask your fiance what to bring as a personal gift for each member

others can add more  I hope.

çay yapmak

:

I will make tea

shouldn´t that be either ´çay yapıyorum´? or ´çay yapacağım´? ´çay yapmak´ = to make tea

could I help you with dinner? ---> Yemeğe [yemek yapmaya] yardım edebilir miyim ?

most probably they will say "No" as you are a guest, but they will be happy when you help them.

could I help you with washing up [dishes] ? Bulaşığa yardım edebilir miyim ?

when you think you had enough tea put the tea spoon on top of tea glass that means [ you have had enough tea and you dont want any more ], this is the polite way to say "NO".. Smile
