Hello everyone,

How are we all? been a long time since my last visit, I am starting a F.B.(facebook) group for various reasons including my own personal circumstances to enable discussion and share experiences of individuals circumstances.  All you need to fill this criteria for joining the group is that you are either married to a Turkish citizen have a partner who is a Turkish citizen and of course you are English as I will explain.  As many members already know when a Turkish husband/wife/partner come to the U.K. they are subject to visa´s and alot of red tape which I have encountered in my own personal circumstances.  The group will be to meet like minded people in the same circumstances, I have restricted it to English people purely as a means to communicate and share experiences you have faced when it came to settling in the U.K as either a married couple or with a partner who is Turkish, perhaps you have faced getting a work permit for your Turkish husband/wife or partner and can share this particular experience.

The group will also be for meeting people who perhaps are already settled in the U.K. or are living in Turkey and can share there experience of living in Turkey as a couple with a wife/husband/partner who is English and how you have settled and are finding life in Turkey.

A brief story of my own circumstances to introduce myself to people who may or may not know me.  My name is Richard, I am married to my Turkish wife Nesrin we have a 27 month old daughter and I have since returned to the U.K. from Istanbul where I lived for nearly three years.

We are in the process of applying for a spouse visa or settlement visa as it is also classed as, my wife will have sufficent funds to not be a drain on the state and be self sufficent with an income.  We have several Turkish friends in Gloucestershire where we have a home and have constant movement between the U.K. and Turkey.

Please feel free to reply to my post here or if you would like the link for the Facebook group I will be more than happy to see some members here join and adding their input, perhaps we could have a scenario that a couple have already faced and that would be invaluable to this group.  I have seen so many groups about with this particular group heading but with your help we could make this one successful and updated regularly.

Thanks so much for reading!
