selam my friends...

Is there any recipe using zahter in turkish cusine? Is it use sparingly in salad only or other main dishes?

Geeezzz, suddenly my brain is craving for enginar!!!!

thank you for the link...it's very interesting.

Fresh zahter supposed to resemble rosemary in shape but taste like oregano - that's what it's been described.

Judging from the taste description that could be only mean thyme? hmmm :-S

Ahhh... that reminds me of a place in Switzerland where i spent few days on top of the mountain. The ground/land outside my friend's chalet was covered with thyme! Each time i walked on the grass, the smell of crushed fresh thyme omitted in the air... I felt like a magical being. Such a wonder of Mother Nature's creation for humans!

I was camping with my friends, and one of the best breakfasts included zahter. We tore pieces of warm flat bread, dipped it in olive oil, and then in zahter! My friend added a hardboiled egg once....yummy! Sorry, this message didn't really answer your question. But reading this topic made me remember that first time!
