Benim adım Mary ve New york ’’ta yaşıyorum.
"What is your name and where do you live?",

Adın ne? Nereye yaşıyorsun?
"Either John will go to New York or Mary will come here."

Ya John New york’ta gelecek ya Mary İşte gelecek

Either John will go to New York or Mary will come here.

John mu  New York´a  gidecek yoksa Mary mi buraya gelecek ?

I translated completely daily Turkish. We natives are using that form frequently like

" O mu gelecek yoksa sen mi gideceksin ?"

Other people are more suited for full translations than I am. But there´s one thing that both you and I seem to have some trouble with: Position and direction.

"Gel burada" should be "Buraya gel", since in Turkish it´s a direction, not a position.

"New York´ta yaşıyorum" is correct.

Next line: "Nereye yaşıyorsun" should translate as "In what direction do you live". "Nerede" is the right word, since it´s a position.

Keep on struggling!

/Rob
