When the only expression is used in the message - YAPMA - could it be translated as Stop, Do not do it or break off?

Many thanks in advance,

you can use this expression when you do not believe in what someone is saying

for example:

Ahmet: Matematik sınavına çok çalıştım. (i study so hard for math exam.)

Ahmet´s friend: Yapma ya. ( dont do ) Ahmet´s friend says that becuse Ahmet never studies hard for exam or Ahmet´s friend knows that Ahmet didnt study
