Considering the above commentary, I need to say that the meaning might vary according to different contexts. As for your question, you can translate ´have/has´ as ´´sahiptir´´, here, the meaning is the same as when you translate ´´I have a cat´´ like ´´Benim bir kedim var´´ or ´´Ben bir kediye sahibim´´. ´´im´´ here means possession in its simplest way.
