hemem yanlarında, çoktan dağlımış bir fiskos takımının yaşayan son üyesi, hüzünlü bir koltuk.
my try is: (i have been told that) just near to them, the last living member of his set has already scattered, a melancolic(sadly) armchair...
can someone explain how can be translate "bir fiskos" ?
thank you in advance
hemen yanlarında, çoktan dağılmış bir fiskos takımının yaşayan son üyesi, hüzünlü bir koltuk.
hemen[ just,right] yan [side,next] + ları [their] + n + da [on] --> right next to them
yaşayan son üyesi ---> [ literally] its last member that is living [ the surviving member]
dağılmış ---> extinct, gone, scattered
* the function of suffix ´-mIş ´ is ; it makes adjective out of some verbs. [Verbal-adjective]
Verb stem + mIş
dağıl + mış
çürü + müş ---> rotten
tüken + miş ---> exhausted, extinct
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
çoktan ---> long time ago, long ago, already
hüzünlü ---> sad , gloomy, melancolic
fiskos --> small table [coffee table] in talking language
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NOTE : The writer is humanising the materials by giving them human qualities [ yaşamak, hüzünlü, son üyesi]
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So the final sentence would be ;
Right [just] next to them, [there is] a sad armchair which is a last surviving [living] member of a coffee table set that has extinct [gone] long time ago.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
