I. -mak için

II. -ması için

III. -dığı için

IV.-mekten dolayı

V. -diğinden dolayı

Bunları kullunarken, ne şartlar sizin tercih etmesinizi yaptırıyor?

When using these, what conditions cause your preference?

III., IV. & V.,  birbiriyle değiştirilebilir mi?

Are III., IV, and V interchangeable?

evet olsa veya hayır olsa, bana neden anlatabilir misiniz?

Your first 3 items is of the type:

x için = for x

I. mutlu ol-mak için = for being happy

II. mutlu ol-ması için = for him/her to be happy

III. mutlu ol-duğu için = for (or because) he/she is happy

And the last 2:

x-dan/-den/-tan/-ten dolayı = because of x

IV. mutlu olmak-tan dolayı = because of being happy

V. mutlu olduğu-dan dolayı = because he/she is happy (because of his/her being happy)

ADVERBIAL CLAUSES

I) mek için = so that / in order to

Formula: (Verb stem + mek) için

Araba kullanmak için yakıt lazım.

Fuel is essential in order to drive a car.

Türkçe öğrenmek için Türkiye’ye gidiyorum.

I go to Turkey in order to learn Turkish.

Dünyayı değiştirmek için ne lazım?

What is necessary in order to change the world?

II) mesi için = so that / in order to

Formula: (Verb stem + me + personal suffix)  için

Problemi anlamam için öğretmen onu defalarca açıkladı. 

The teacher explained the problem over and over again so that I could understand it.

Eve gitmem için paraya ihtiyacım vardı.

Note: When making a general statement, or when it´s clear that the subject of the main clause is the same as in the adverbial clause, (V)mek için can be used. 

III) diği için (present or past tense) or eceği için (future tense) = because

Formula: (Verb stem + diği + personal suffix) için 

Söz verdiğim için, ona bir hediye göndereceğim.

Because I promised, I will send her a present.

Çocuğumuzun çok ateşi olduğu için, doktoru çağırdık.

We called the doctor because our child had a high fever.

Hasta olduğum için ödevimi bitiremedim:

I couldn´t finish my homework because I was sick.

İngiliz olduğun için seninle evlenemem

I can´t marry you because you are English.

Bu akşam tiyatroya gideceğimiz için erken yemek yiyeceğiz.

Because we will go to the theatre this evening, we shall dine early.

Otobüs çok geç geldiği için işe geç gittim 

Because the bus came very late, I got to work late.

Note basically the same English sentence can be said using çünkü

İşe geç gittim, çünkü otobüs çok geç geldi.

I got to work late because the bus came very late.
