Anything really but my favourite subjects are politics, culture, history, languages, music. Anything with Mor Ve Ötesi.

It would be fun to see what is really popular in Turkey, comedies or talk shows? Or childrens programs, that would have easy language too...

I have found it very useful to watch Barış Manço´s "Adam Olacak Çocuk." It is an old show, from the late 1980s into the 1990s, but it is all over YouTube. It is actually a segment from his program "7´den 77´ye" in which he interviews children and then asks them to sing a song. Sort of like Art Linkletter years ago in the States. Barış, who was a truly charming man, is very sweet and kind to the children, and even before I had studied Turkish, I began to pick up some vocabulary from their conversations. Here is a link to my favorite episode. The first interview is not too exciting, but the second and third are classics.

Oh, sorry, I should add that there are no subtitles. But you will be able to understand a lot from context.
