What do you think? Do they like to speak it with a pompous flow or
do they think their own language sounds a little rough, maybe ugly
to them?
Americans´ opinion:
The roughness of the language, the "zoot-zoo" (Chinese-like/guttural?)
sounds is what makes the Turkish language irresistible & beautiful.
Do Turks like their own language?

after studying english, i liked turkish more than before.
english has more sounds than its alphabet. it needs double effort to learn it, one for meaning, the other for pronunciation. i wish it was written how it sounds but too late to change it. why did your ancestors did such a thing! i am angry with them!

What I see is that Turks are sometimes surprisingly careless about their own language. It hurts my eye to see it written without dotted letters for instance but it seems to be a widespread practice.

If only it could be undotted letters.

(I´m south american) and I fell in love with turkish, since the first time I heard it, didn´t know it was turkish ´till I asked what language it was . And yes it´s a phonetic language, which makes it a little easier than english (when speaking) and ikicihan , to be honest, English is not that hard when you get the hang of it, you just gotta practice a lot and try to record yourself speaking.

It’s a world you enter when you speak Turkish which is unclean,
yet the purest & en güzel language and world,
your Turks dirt is the perfect soil for planting the soul.
Arabic as the flower, Allah as the Sun...
Really, it´s just the soul...no language can express soul

It matters not about what language or blood or any of that...Turkish
is not the best, no language is the absolute best, please...
It´s all a matter of expression, of how you express love not from
a language, not from words...from actions.
Knowledge is learning a kiss should be on the lips.
Wisdom is the action, kissing someone on the lips.
May we all look in wisdom...Amin
