Hello there!

I am confused: içecek is a noun in this case, isn´t it? And so is bir şey. One would expect a verb somewhere.

Lütfen ona içmek bir şey verin?!

Kind regards,

Robert

İf you put word "içecek" before "bir şey". İçecek becomes an adjective. And there is a verb at the end of the sentence: ver-mek.

Merhaba Smile

The verb is at the end

vermek = to give,

ver = give! (imperative, command)

verin = (you) give (2nd person polite imperative)

Please give him/her/it something to drink.

Lütfen ona içmek bir şey verebilir misin?

Can you give him/her/it something to drink please?
