Here is the number one:

Beklenen

The Waited

Ne hasta bekler sabahı,
Ne taze ölüyü mezar.
Ne de şeytan, bir günahı,
Seni beklediğim kadar.

Neither a patient waits the morning

Nor a grave waits the fresh dead

And nor Satan waits a sin

As long as I have waited you

Geçti istemem gelmeni,
Yokluğunda buldum seni;
Bırak vehmimde gölgeni
Gelme, artık neye yarar?

It is too late now. I dont want you to come.

I have found you in your absence

Leave your shadow in my imagination

Don´t come, what is the use of it now?

This is a great poem from Necip Fazıl Kısakürek.

This is probably the only Turkish poem with rhymes and rhythm that I know. And I wonder why is that.

I mean I have got used to seeing the free verse only. No iambic pentameters, dactylic hexameters, trochees etc.

I dont like free ones as much as rhytmic ones. There is always a rhytm in my poems
