Merhaba,

I found such a sentence in an online newspaper:

...saldırganların küfür ve ırkçı hakaretlerde bulunarak “Kebabistan” adlı restorana saldırdığı belirtildi.

literally I should translate the part marked in red saying that "the attackers were found in racist invectives", but I suppose the real sense is that they "used racist invectives" or "said racist invectives". So, my question is - can the construction ´-de bulunmak´ be used with other nouns in the meaning of "use/say" or is it only connected with "hakaretler" as a fixed phrase?

Can I say for example: övgülerde bulundu as "he said compliments"/"he praised"?

#edit

perhaps "to express" is a better translation?

You can use it with other nouns and your example is correct.
