Merhaba.

How do you translate the common English phrase "to check out something" which indicates recommendation. For example: Hi friend, check out this video!

İ think you can say like that. But let´s wait for native speaker.

  I agree. You can also say " Merhaba arkadaş, şu vidyoya bir göz atıver ".
