merhaba

I was in the bus the other day and a woman asked if the bus goes to a certain place and the answer was "gidiyormuş"

I understood the it doesnt but I dont get the grammar of it I know the "muş miş mış müş ekler" when we add them to the verb in order to make a "belirsiz geçmiş zaman" but I would really like to know how the guy added the muş into a "şimdiki zaman" verb "gidiyor".

thanx in advance for answering this

Because he heard or learnt it from someone else. So that is why he used "muş" even after "present continous tense".

For example your friend wonders if the bus goes to city center. But you dont know. You ask me if the bus goes to city center and I say "yes, it goes". Then you can say your friend: Evet gidiyormuş.
