How do you say ´I am fasting?´

My friend said ´oruç tutuyorum´ is too formal and I should say ´inyetliğim´ instead.

Also how would say, ´I fasted yesterday but not today?´

"I am fasting"

you can say in three ways

Oruç tutuyorum.

and past form of them

Oruç tuttum.

Also how would say, ´I fasted yesterday but not today?´

Dün niyetliydim ( or oruçluydum ) ama bugün niyetli değilim.

Dün oruç tuttum ama bugün oruç tutmuyorum.
