bulgar and vermicelli pilav

2 Tablespoons of butter.
1 Onion finely sliced.
50g /2 oz vermicelli.
400g / 14 oz bulgar - washed and drained.
900ml / 3 fl oz stock.
salt and pepper.

Heat the butter in a saucepan, add onions and saute untill soft and transparent.

Break vermicelli, add and saute for 4 - 5 mins untill slightly browned.

Add bulgar, stock, salt and pepper. Mix well then cover the pan simmer for 15 minutes or untill tender. You may wish to add a little more water, if you do only add small quantaties at a time.

Remove from the heat,stir well and cover for a further 5 minutes!
