Dün arabayı gelin arabası yapacağıma, keşke hastahaneye getirseydim

Would someone be kind enough to elucidate the grammar of yapacağıma in the context of the sentence?

Thank you very much,

David

Dün arabayı gelin arabası yapacağıma, keşke hastahaneye getirseydim

It translates: I wish I would have brought it to the hospital, rather than making the car a bride car.

Yapacağıma - I wish ... rather than ...

So it represents a regret. For example;

Keşke dün oyunu oynayacağıma, ödevlerini bitirseydim.

I wish I would have done my homework, rather than playing the game.

And it´s not hastahane, it´s hastane. Smile

Thank you so much for your reply, I´ve made a note beside it and will have to deepen a little in that area.

hastahane is used throughout, so I guess that must be due to dialect.

Cheers very much,

David
