Merhaba!

Lindie, I think it`s really cool!!!

I`ve been to Icmeler in July! It was my first trip to Turkey and it was the best one I ever had. I just fell in love with the town and people and everything! I was impressed by the beauty of the sea and mountains and the atmosphere of Icmeler, which is friendly and just great!

Hi Everybody,

I would like to share experience and knowledge of my last visit to Aydim/Didum, Altinkum better known to everybody.

There were many of our colleagues out around about 10 of us: and two couples living in Altinkum with a triplex each. Who have just moved out this year. Both couples have bought a little scooter to get around.

My colleagues, two separate couples, have managed to retire by buying their triplex's and living off the interest from the var deli bank account. Which they draw out every month. I know one of them has a small pension from our workplace which enables him to live moderately. Both couples say it is the best move they ever made. They just live a relaxed lifestyle and don't work. Both couples, now have a dog. One rescued one of the homeless strays going about, the dog itself looks very contented and happy, and well behaved.

Talking to some of the waiters from the restaurant we used. One travelled 25 hours from North Eastern Turkey from the mountain region, where the climate is cold and the mountains are snow capped 6 months of the year. He certainly did not want to go back there, as he said there were no televisions and he did not like his home town. He was a very eager young boy and learnt English in 3 months. Watching television, writing words down and reading. I'm positive he will do well, as this can get him a good job, as it is a requirement.

I asked about their families. One his brother did not speak to him, because, his family expected him to marry and wanted him to marry his brother's wife's sister.

The other one, his family, kept mentioning marriage, at the age of 16, 17, and 18. This is the one who travelled 25 hours to work in resort. He told me he would please himself.

These young boys were very young and humble. Hopefully, they will keep their innocence and charm, and won't become
brazen.

This is his own business, private and personal.
Why should we discuss it?
Especially using his work for our personal expressing and pleasure.
