Hello!
I saw this idiom :
Sırtı kaşınan it çobanın değneğine sürtünürmüş.

Can someone explain to me what this means, both literally and figuratively?

Quoted from www.wordrefence.com

"It´s said that the dog which itch its back rubs shepherd´s crook."

Originally it has to be "goat" not dog. And it means that someone deserves to be punished for their wrongs or mistakes in their actions. That is s/he deliberately causes to be punished.
