Hi!

I´m just a beginner, so my question may sound rediculous to you.

In my textbook, I found a sentence like, "Siz türk´ sünüz".

And there is no explanation why there is ´ between k and s.

Could you possibly let me know the rule?

Please correct me.

Thank you in advance.

Well I hope they wrote it with a capital ´T´.

The apostrophe is used with most endings, after a proper noun. I think this is to add some clarity.

´´Siz Türk´sünüz.´´

´´Ben Türk´üm.´´

Türk is a proper noun when it refers to people who live in Turkey. T must be capitalized.
