Merhaba, will anyone be traveling to Turkey the very first week of December? I will be there December 3 to 10. Just curious if anyone else will be there and what part of Turkey you may be visiting.

I was there last year at the same time and it wasn't too bad. The nights did get cold, but most of the days were sunny and beautiful.

I went to Turkey last December (24 Dec - 1 Jan 2006), the coldest place was Cappadocia ( -5 degrees celcius), Istanbul was about 8 degrees celcius.

It is ok if there is no wind

uzgunum, I did not mean for it to sound like cold was bad either. In fact it is best for cuddling up with the one you love.

It is not my first time to Turkey, I have been there twice before, once last December and then again in April. In April I went to Marmaris and Bodrum. I loved both even though not everything was open yet. I have been very lucky, both times the weather has really been great and I have enjoyed my trips immensely. I am looking forward to being back in December.

I wonder if there is the real winter there...

Try Ankara, or especially Erzurum!
You will understand what cold is...
