"I will research this cancer doctor for your father"

I am using the dictionary and grammar lessons to figure out the following:

research=ara?tirma yapmak
father= baba

for?

future= I know add "ecek", but am not advanced enough yet to do so.

Any help?

tesekkür ederim,
Christine

araştırmak...to search
araştıracağım

araştır + acak + ım
verb stem + future suffix acak + personal pronoun

But k change to ğ when it followed by a vowel

So it become araştıracağım

Thank you Canli,

The verb explanation helped alot! but why baban and not baba?

And the "hakkinda" has me completely perplexed. I need to study much more!

Thank you,
Christine

baba=father
baban= your father

if you add one of '-ın,-üm,-in,-n,-un' to the word,it becomes for 'second singular person'

hakkında = about

Anytime Christine,
Ok,let's have a look here

Baba....is father...babaN... is YOUR father

You see that is the possessive pronouns,

Chesck this list,

ben sen o biz siz onlar
Benim senin onun bizim sizin onların

BabA babaM babaN babaSI babaMIZ babaNIZ babaLARI

here baba ended with a vowel,so notice the possessive pronouns,and notice now the difference

İş işİM işİN işİ işİMİZ işİNİZ işLERİ

We added (I ) and ofcourse it follow the vowel harmony too,so it takes the 4 shapes I,İ,U,Ãœ

As for benim,senin, ...that is mine,yours...ect

hakkinda..lets sperate it
Ok,i am checking this ,before telling you, sry,but,i just want to be sure %100 before i tell you

İ'll get back to you, sry

Ok,done

Hak + k + ın + da

The second K is because its a foreigner word,arabic one,so they repeated it, ın means yours, da means with

So the whole word here can be explained as 'due to you'
The search you will do for his sake ,something like that

thx derya and gizopy

Canli and gizopi your explanations are excellent!

I am struggling- as I only currrently have:
1. A t-e and e-t dictionary
2. Online lessons from this site
3. 2 Audio/turkish lessons packets and books from Amazon that I ordered, but seem quite random, but very helpful with pronunciation.

Hopefully, after my presentation to the Turkish foundation who sponsored me on Thursday, I will secure a tutor.

I'm the kind of person who needs lots of practice lessons and feedback. The self-help method is hard for me- despite my earnestness!

If you have any suggestions for an online course I would be most grateful.

Again,
I thank you,
Christine
