Stairs lead to the church off Istiklal Caddesi. This Franciscan church is built in 1871, after the big fire disaster in Beyoglu. Its architect was Semprini. The interior is colourfully ornamented. The Mother Mary icon above the alter is believed to perform miracles. (Location: Istanbul)
