Princess Ayse Hariye Durrushevar [1914-2006], daughter of Sultan Abdulmecit II, was married to Prince Azam Jah of the Indian ´Seljuk Osmanli´ Kingdom of Hyderabad. He was the eldest son of Mir Osmanali Khan, the 7th ´Nizam´ [ruler]. In this picture she is holding her son, Prince Mukarram Jah [now living in Istanbul age over 70 years].

The wedding on November 12, 1931, at Nice in France was simple with none of the royal trappings or oriental grandeur. From the Nizam´s side, delegates to the Round Table Conference, including Nawab Sir Hyder Nawaz Jung [my grandfather], Sir Richard Chenevix Trench and Nawab Mehdi Yar Khan, witnessed the religious ceremony, performed by the Sultan himself.
