Sen Yoksun You Are Absent

sen yoksun
deniz yok
yıldızlar arkadaşım
ya bu gece harika bir şeyler olsun
yahut bir bomba gibi
infilak edecek başım

ağzımda eski mısralar uzanıp kalmışım
istanbul minareler odamda gibi
gökyüzü temiz ve parlak
işte kolkola girmiş en mesut günlerimiz
muhalif bir rüzgar karşı sahilden

fosforlu ışıklarıyla gökyüzü bir deniz
havada kanat sesleri
ve çılgın kokular

deniz yok
yıldızlar uzaklaşıyor
ben yine yalnız kalıyorum
istanbul minareler kaybolmuş
sen yoksun

you are absent
there is no sea
stars are my friends
either something like miracle happens tonight
or like a bomb
my head will burst

with old verses in my mouth, i stay laid
istanbul, minarets are like in my room
the sky is clear and bright
look, our happiest days linked their arms
a contrary wind from the opposite shore

with phosphorecent lights, the sky is a sea
in the air, sounds of wings
and wild smells

there is no sea
stars are fading away
again, me, staying alone
istanbul, minarets are lost
you are absent
