Toprağa Düşen The One Who Fell on the Ground

Ona "Haydi
Savaşa dediler
Başkaca birşey
Söylemediler

Aldılar köyünden
Davulla zurnayla
Geride üç çocuk
Bir eş ve bir ana

Eline bir silah
Tutuşturdular
Ve karşılaştı
Düşman ordular

Vurulup düştü
İlk çatışmada
Göğsünde bir oyuk
Üç delik alnında

"Ey bu topraklar için
Toprağa düşen"
Bir karış toprağın
Var mıydı yaşarken?

They told him
Come on, to the war
Nothing else
Did they tell him

They took him from his village
With celebrations
Three kids left behind
A spouse and a mother

They handed a gun
To his hand
And confronted
The enemy armies

He was shot and fell
In the first combat
With a pit in his chest
And three holes in his forehead

You, the one who fell on the ground
For these lands
Did you have one hand span of land
When you lived?
