When you enter Turkey you need to obtain a visa (I think it's valid for two months). They have small departments for this at airports, if you're going there by plane.

...the visa is valid for three months at a cost of £10, and yes it is the first 'port of call' when stepping off the plane at the airport in Turkey.....before the loo

This is the most silly law ever. And I wonder why some nationalities doesn't have to pay the fee, like eg. me. I considder this a form of exploit, because I just can't think of any valid reason for it. Does other countries do the same?
Also it's ridiculous that turks pay (about) 70 ytl every time they leave the country.

I've heard this amount is now only 15 YTL, is that true?

as far as I'm concerned anyone should be able to travel and live wherever they want, without visas..its riduculous..and for people that moan about immigrants 'taking' their jobs thats just rubbish..there are plenty of people(in England at least) sitting on their butts claiming state benefits without good reason..

anyway, a bit off topic sorry

It's possible. I have not heard anything about it but it would certaintly be great! That's a huge difference for poor people like my husband and me. We can live for a week with 55 ytl
