How far is Tuzla from the city centre of Istanbul?
Does anyone know?

40 km would be close enough guess. There are commuter trains running in between...say 20 minutes.

Hi
It is about the furthest point out that still counts as Istanbul on the Asian shore of the city. So it is quite a long way from the city centre. It is about half an hour's drive from Bostancı (past Kartal and then past Pendik). It is about 45 mins to 1 hour drive from Kadıköy. It is about 1.5 to 2 hours drive from the city centre. (But I wouldn't drive that far: I would get seabus from YeniKapı to Bostancı and then get the train to Tuzla from there).
In this Google Map it doesn't mark Tuzla on it, but Tuzla is the area just below the second D100 blue marker to the east of Istanbul (marked Yayla and Cami on the map).

I guess it depends on how you travel, by car, bus or train etc.

Yes, Every time I go to Turkey. This December will be my fourth time.
It is about an hour or so from the Ataturk Airport (depending on traffic). My fiance lives in Gebze which is about a 1/2 hour away.
