My attempt.   "Your companion jumped back from the rose wounded"

(Like they hurt their finger on a thorn).

 Unclear:

dostun, attiði gülden yaralanmýþ: Your friend was injured by the rose s/he threw.

Dostun attiði gülden yaralanmýþýz: We seem to have been injured by the rose your friend threw.

It should be "We seem to have been injured by the rose the friend threw.".

In order to mean "We seem to have been injured by the rose your friend threw.", it had to be "Dostunun attiði gülden yaralanmýþýz."
