Kitab覺 ya getirmek istemedi ya da gerçekten unuttu. (Either he didn´t want to bring the book or really forgot it.)

 

d覺ar覺 (outside), kal覺n (thick), giyinmek (to dress (reflexive)), ç覺kmak (1to go out, 2.3.7..), ev (house, home), kalmak (1to stay, 2to remain)

 

Ya d覺ar覺 kal覺n giyinip ç覺k ya da evde kal. Hava çok souk. (Either go outside after dressing in thick things or stay at home. The weather is too cold.)

 

düünmek (to think), dorudan (directly), ifade etmek (to express), resim (picture), çizmek (to draw), ark覺 (song), ark覺 söylemek (to sing song)

 

düün+dik+ler+i+i---------->düündüklerini (what he/she thinks/thought)

resim çiz+erek------------->resim çizerek (by drawing picture)

ark覺 söyle+erek------------>ark覺 söyleyerek (by singing a song)

 

Düündüklerini dorudan ifade etmez. Ya resim çizerek ya da ark覺 söyleyerek ifade eder. (He doesn´t express directly what he thinks. He expresses either by drawing picture or by singing a song.)

 

gitmek (to go), [remember the imperative case]

 

sen git (go (specialized for 2nd singular))

git+e+im------>gideyim  (let me go)

 

Ya sen git ya ben gideyim. (Either you go or I shall go.)

 

ne ... ne (de)* ... = neither ... nor ...

Because "ne ... ne ..." is already expressing a negative meaning, the sentences are conjugated positive.

 

ne ben ne sen (neither me nor you)

ne annem ne babam (neither my mother nor my father)

ne Dünya ne Mars ne Jüpiter ne de Satürn (Neither the Earth nor Mars nor Jupiter and nor Saturn)

 

merak etmek (to wonder, to feel desire to know), arat覺rmak (to research, to search)

Ne merak ettim ne arat覺rd覺m. (Neither I wondered nor researched.)

 

Ne Almanca ne Türkçe biliyor. (He can speak neither German nor Turkish.)

=Ne Almanca biliyor ne de Türkçe.

=Almanca da Türkçe de bilmiyor. (He can´t speak both German and Turkish.)

=Almanca da bilmiyor Türkçe de.

 

It is too strange to hear to say "Hem Almanca hem Türkçe bilmiyor." Because "hem ... hem (de) ..." is almost always just positive.

 

sal覺k (health), para (money), i (1work, 2.....4....), önemli (important)

 

sal覺k+n yok----------------->sal覺覺n yok (you haven´t health)

sal覺k+n yok+ise------------->sal覺覺n yoksa/ yok ise (if you haven´t health)

ne para ne i (neither money nor business)

önemli+dir(generl.)----------->önemlidir (it is important [as general])

 

Sal覺覺n yoksa ne para ne de i önemlidir. (Neither money nor business is important if you have no health.)

=Sal覺覺n yoksa ne para önemlidir ne i.

=Sal覺覺n yoksa para da i de önemli deildir. (Both money and business aren´t important if you have no health.)

=Sal覺覺n yoksa para da önemli deildir i de.

 

bu (this), sen (you), o (he/she/it), anlatmak (1to tell, 2to tell about)

 

bu+i(acc.)-------------------->bunu (this (acc.))

ne sana ne ona (neither to you nor to him/her)

anlat+abil+r+im---------------->anlatabilirim (i can tell)

anlat+ama+m------------------>anlatamam (i can´t tell)

 

Bunu ne sana ne de ona anlatabilirim. (I can tell about this neither you nor him.)

=Bunu ne sana anlatabilirim ne de ona.

=Bunu sana da ona da anlatamam. (I can´t tell about this both you and him.)

=Bunu sana da anlatamam ona da.

 

evlenmek (to get married), çocuk (child), yapmak (to do), çocuk yapmak (to give birth a child)

 

Ben seninle ne evlenirim ne de çocuk yapar覺m. (With you, I neither get married nor have a child.)

 

lise (high school), üniversite (university), bitirmek (to finish (transitive)), iyi (good), gelir (income)

 

Ne lise ne de üniversite bitirdiler ama iyi birer gelirleri var. (They have finished neither high school nor university but each of them has a good income.)

 

gitmek (to go)

 

Ne sen git ne ben gideyim. (Neither you go nor I shall.)
