I was  thinking of visiting  a jazz club in Galata called Nardis while on vacation in Istanbul. Is this area advisable to travel at night if one is alone? I know everyone has to use their common sense, but I wanted to ask the Istanbul experts first before I try to find a companion....

Yes they will be playing brothers actually.... It is a "war" movie. At any rate, Tobey Maguire is the good brother who goes to war and is thought to be dead. Jake is the "good for nothing" brother and romances  Tobey´s wife[Natalie] (thinking his brother was dead) but then Tobey is found....

Btw Eastern Promises had Viggo Mortensen in it. Not a widely known movie  but worth a try

I loved "Eastern Promises"...I tend to like indie films...Hollywood blockbusters usually repel me (why i don´t know) guess this is how I maintain my "offbeat" way

But...that new movie with Tobey Maguire, Natalie Portman, and Jake Gyllenhaal called "Brothers" looks like it may be kind of good..... I will be seeing that because I like Natalie and Jake....
