Namaz kýlmak is - as far as I know - to offer prayers...

So if I were to say, Ben namaz kýlacaðým, then I should say, I will offer my prayers.

baþarýlý olmak için ne yapmak gerekir

ne yapmalýyým

mütevazilik, tutku, gerçekleri görebilmek ve gerçeklerle yüzleþebilmek

daha iyi bir önerin var mý

What does one need to do to be successful?

What should I do?

Modesty, passion, being able to see the reality and facing the reality

Do you have a better suggestion?

 Most of the times:

If the last vowel of the word is a,ý then ý

                                                e,i then i

                                                o,u then u

                                                ö,ü then ü

And by the way it is fularým.

Epeydir ihmal ettiði genel saðlýk kontrolünü planýna aldý.

I want to translate this as:

That he neglected to have general check-ups for a long time .....

What´s the correct translation for "planýna aldý" ? (it can´t be "he took to his plan" lol)

Does "epeyden beri" mean the same as "epeydir"? (One was in the dictionary, the other wasn´t).

Thanks.

literally yes, it means he put this in his plans.. as in he put it in his diary to have it done some time soon...

Epeyden beri bir saðlýk kontrolünden geçmek isteði aklýna geldi. Ancak bir türlü iþten fýrsat bulamamýþtý.

I want to translate this as: The wish to have a medical check-up came to his mind. However, ..., he couldn´t find an opportunity.

I´m not sure how to translate: "epeyden beri" and "bir türlü iþten" so it would make sense.

Ýmdat! Lütfen. {#lang_emotions_bigsmile}

epeyden beri is for such a long time, and bir türlü iþten fýrsat bulamadý would be, he was never able to find a chance because of his work.

Did it help?

Selam!

(Short Intro: I´m Aniela from Australia and I absolutely love the turkish language, especially the music

I was wondering if anyone could tell me what "Sen Mutlu Ol" means?

If anyone has heard it by Demet Akalin could you possibly tell me what it is about?.

Regards,

x Aniela

Sen mutlu ol means - you be happy.

I don´t know if it is a song by Demet Akalýn or so, but may be someone can help you with that.

Why can´t we use the verb I used?  I was going to use üzgünüm but decýded to check the dictionary first.  Is yours better or just another way?

üzgün olmak is not the verb form, it is like güzel olmak, çalýþkan olmak, öðrenci olmak...  but when you say:

I am upset - ben üzgünüm

she is beautiful - o güzel

you are hardworking - sen çalýþkansýn.

i am student - ben öðrenciyim.

So you will have to use üzgünüm.
