Quoting susie k: Quoting kissturk: sorry, just got add my bit too .
I met my (X HUSBAND in england, we got married in Turkey, he already had his documents for the UK so that wasnt an issue, he then decided that one night stands would be acceptable, but i must leave the house, baring in mind i was the main bread winner (nooo sorry, i supported us and our 2 children, while he wandered round otwn with mates sitting in coffee houses whilst i paid a nanny!!!) believe had it been like that in the beginning i would never have gone to turkey to get married, so now approaching are 5 years anniversyary were divorced.thats with out mentioning the abuse, alcohol, violence i had to put up with towards the end!
However........ i love turks to pieces, i have a lot of turkish friends over here and in Turkey... i know that till i find/fall in love with mr right again (must be turk In the mean-time i wouldnt even consider dating an english guy...Theres bad a good guys /girls out there like robyn said..I dont like to judge as a whole we are all individuals... I LOVE YOU TURKEY ))) |
I'm so sorry for you. This must have been awful, I think it's everyones knightmare. I know for a fact that this goes on! My husband's friends were shocked when I said to him that I wouldn't stand for any of that, and that I would be off in a flash if he tried it! Luckily my husband isn't like that, but I know a few Turks that are, they are the ones who told Kadir to do this but he refused and this is when I found out that it had been encouraged.
They used to call him at all hours and he would tell him to f**k off in the end he lost a few friends and I was looked at like I was trash by them! It took about 3 months before they got the message and Kadir decieded that he would rather have me than 10000 of them! I know that I am lucky, I hope your next love is more worthy of you. |
i know that I am expected to look for partners for my husbands cousin osman, despite the fact that osman is married..to okkes's other cousin.. in fact, all of his cousin's seem to use me as a dating agency for women..although they are mostly married
but this isn't all turkish men as i said before..theres always good eggs and bad eggs

"And that is what you pick from ALL the Western style life ?!" That's the question I didn't understand thou? What do you mean by that? It isn't simply love affair part that that's Western style in me (Although I don't find it right to call it Western style, it is just my personal choices and style) |
Well, call me old fashion,or maybe its just my Eastern way of thinking,
But the word my boyfriend to me, means my lover too,
So it's hard for me to understand how can one have so many lovers.
İ mean,true love doesn't come 5 or 6 times in one's life,
or maybe it comes to lucky people ?!
Anyhow,as you said it is personal choices. |

Well Robyn, that was my opinion based on my own personal experience with ONE turkish man..And people don't have to agree with me in here!!Some people in here have had good or bad experiences with turkish men and i am just one of those who weren't so lucky...
And i will repeat myself again saying that "every forest has its own dryness"so there are bad people everywhere in the world.. i just want everybody to be happy and find their soulmates, in Turkiye or in another corner of the world BUT i promise that if i meet another turkish man with whom i will live happily ever after,i will be here telling and sharing my happiness with everybody!!!Wish me luck!!
