in turkey...marmaris partiucally....and u acnnot say that it doesnt happen in turkey becoz turkey and the uk have 1 of the highest ratings of rape in the world

Well, the raping issue happens in most of the Mediterrenean countries indeed Balguzeli. Don't think Spain, Greece, Italy or Portugal are too different than Turkey when it comes to rapes. But then I also read an article in the newspaper that %50 of a certain nation's women confessed the fact that(I won't give the nations' name because I don't want to offend anyone) they come Turkey to have sex with Turkish men besides having a Mediterrenean holiday. What about that? :-S |

I don't know the rate in England. However it isn't that high in Turkey. On what grounds and sources are you giving that rate in Turkey?

By the way I have been to Marmaris as well. A wonderful place, worth to go and to see. Most of the tourist population were British when I went there with my family. We even met a very sweet British family there. But then as far as what I observe some Turkish or Kurdish guys exaggerate the degree of intimacy with the tourist girls...

and by the way i have already experienced the worst that cud happen 2 a girl while in marmaris
and i have many friends that see it happen every week
it was in a british magazine "Take a Break" that turkey (especially marmaris bodrum olu deniz and side) hav one of the highest ratings of rape on british and europeon women!!!!

As far as I can see your source is a British magazine. Magazine! nothing serious.
Have you witnessed a rape in Marmaris and done nothing?
You can't be serious. Have the so-called rapes happened in the streets of Marmaris!? And also you can't expect anyone to believe that.You are talking in a way that as if nobody has been to Marmaris before except you. Moreover have the victims come to you to say that they had been raped instead of going to the police?
One more thing, you said you had spent quite a long time in Marmaris in one of your previous posts above. What I have difficulty in understanding is that why did you stay in such an environment as you claim for so long

i think both sides need to be more flexible with their approach in regards to this issue..yes people are raped in such tourist resorts..but that doesnt say if they were raped by turkish emn or tourists it just says they were raped..people are raped all over the world..
and i completely agree with u turkishgirl..some girls go on holiday just to have sex..but we don't criticise these [people here..just the men that do the same(no im not referring to rapists here im talking about consuensual sex)!!
i think thats called double standards..
aklso the smae problem exists as in the UK too many women are so drunk that they lose all inhibitions and thoughts and then decide to say they were raped..no this isn't the case in all so called 'date rape' cases but is the case in a lot of legal decisions that have been made in english courts of law..
in order to get a true and valid picture of the rape situation in turkey or any other country we should vcheck our facts thoroughly not just read magazines which are there to make people buy them..otherwise known as 'shock tactics'. this doesn't mean that everything printed is wrong..it is just overexaggrated in order to sell the magazines..the same as with all other forms of media

So this means 50% of women just go to turkey just to enjoy their holiday. |
