qdemir, why are you so ferociously denying these things??? I'd like to see YOUR sources on which you base your opinions!
it's a known fact that rape and infidelity is rampant in Turkey, especially in the touristic locations.
it's enough to get Turkish newspapers (not even magazines) to watch porn over there, so go figure how they behave. a lot of those guys are perverts who got used to double standards and then when western women visit and do sleep around, they judge them and have no respect for them.

I hate the term "easy girl". since when sleeping around is a problem for you guys? guys are the biggest sluts on the earth, but for some reason I haven't heard the term "an easy guy" used in the same negative way as it is for the women. god!! I'm so sick of the double standards... what is really so negative about "easy girls" is that they are free and men can't stand that, well.. a little more complicated then that, but whatever. I'm not talking here about women who sleep around for the sake of improving their self-esteem by feeling attractive to some slutty dude, but women who are free and choose who they sleep with and sleep who they want to sleep with!

I say - western women, go to Turkey, use and dump those bastards! (sure, some are not bastards and those deserve respect).

I can't stand women who embrace the idea that they are allowed less then men (in order to think that they are "good girls" or to get respect by obediently following the rules made by their male dominant society they live in...), and who let guys control their lifes and tell them what they should or shouldn't do.

Catwoman, I am not the one who is ferociously denying anything, if you mind reading over my previous posts - especially the one you have just quoted- I'm sure you will be able to see what I am talking about exactly, but there are some who are ferociously attacking Turkey under the pretext of critizing and concealing their real intents by saying "I love Turkish people BUT ...., or they.... , but some are not bad." . When there is anything to critize in a neutral manner such critisms are always wellcome on here. I am the first to critize such things (you can see my posts for that)

As for the rape issue some sound as if women are being raped in every two seconds in some parts of Turkey. If you read my previous posts over you must have noticed that I am not denying that such rapes happen in those parts of Turkey. It is sad to say that all sorts of rapes happen not only in holiday resorts but also in other parts as they happen in any other parts of the world. However the rate isn't that high as some claim. If you and those claiming such a high rate have a number, for example, the number of women who were raped in the places in question last summer I would like to know that.

I am not defending attidutes of some people towards women in holiday resorts or critizing the reason for some women coming to such resorts. But what I am against is the rate of rape mentioned by some on the thread. I think rape is such a crime that the penis of the perpetrator should be cut out and inserted into his mouth. It is therefore we should be careful before putting forward such an accusation
and claim such things wihtout having concrete evidences.

The way you say it seems like travelling is dangerous. Well, stay home if you think so. I travelled through 20 countries, by bus, by bike, alone and with just my ex-partner and nothing ever happened. Am I lucky? I guess so, but also always prepared for what to do and where to go and I use my common sense.

merhaba!
Turkishgirl asked a question and it seems to me that the discussions have slipped towards a different subject
After all, she wanted points of view on "Turkish lovers"!
Love, in general is a sensitive matter and the judgemets of the heart are always difficult to explain and to understand....
Still, from what I've seen and experienced, there is a tendency in Turkish men to show a higher sesitivity and tenderness... I like to believe they are honest and sincere in most of the cases...
Maybe because the sun brights in this country more and it is wellknown that love and sun are good friends

However, here it is sth to guide you all on the complicated path of love:
WHEN YOUR HEARTS ARE ON FIRE, THAKE CARE NOT TO HAVE SMOKE IN YOUR EYES!

Yes! Completely agree with you on that one!!!

Qdemir, I see your point, but you didn't back up your objections with any information either and I'm sure that rape is high in many parts of Turkey.
